The ice of SPORTO virtual talks broken by Coca-Cola and the Chicago Bulls

We are pleased to announce the first inspiring experts to be hosted as part of in-depth monthly SPORTO 2020 Digital Talks. Make a note of these two dates: on 9 September, our guest will be the talented Luka Dukich, Director of Digital Content with the NBA team Chicago Bulls, and on October 1 we will be joined by the accomplished sports marketer Ricardo Fort, Vice President at The Coca-Cola Company in charge of global sports and entertainment partnerships.

Our first guests, who come from two extremely powerful global brands, will focus on their creating and exploiting the potential and seeking communication solutions for sports organisations and sponsorship brands in these unusual times.

Luka Dukich (photo below), who impressed the SPORTO audience in 2018 with his lecture, will focus on the exciting documentary series The Last Dance (Netflix, ESPN), which was at the centre of the global sports audience during the pandemic.

The Chicago Bulls made extremely effective use of the moment/period when series was broadcast and dominated social networks by creating engaging and unique content. Among other topics, the behind-the-scene approach at TikTok will be presented, where together with the mascot Benny the Bull they are the sports club with the most followers in North America and the second most followed sports account in the world. They also created the first branded TikTok content series for a sports team.

Ricardo Fort (photo below), one of the world’s leading experts and opinion leaders in the field of sponsorship, who oversees company’s global portfolio of partnerships and events, including the ones with FIFA, UEFA, the International Olympic Committee, the Special Olympics, the McLaren F1 team, movie studios, record labels, the gaming industry and others, will focus on Coca-Cola’s Olympic sponsorship and the postponed Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. We will also hear first-hand more about the current challenges and best practices from company’s work with different rights holders around the world and comment on the post-pandemic sponsorship landscape from a broader perspective.

The monthly virtual event (on the road to SPORTO 2021) will consist of a 15-minute presentation, a 25-minute interview and a 10-minute chat with registered participants. Please follow our digital channels to sign up for free soon!
